Sea Cavalcade Royals & Princesses
The Sea Cavalcade Committee would like to invite the youth of the Sunshine Coast area to participate in an event that is open to Boys and Girls aged 15 to 17 years old.
The criteria to qualify:
- Must compose and present a minimum 500-word essay, "Why Sea Cavalcade is an important event for Gibsons"
- Must have good interpersonal/communication skills
- Must have some experience in community involvement
- Must have some post secondary education plans
- Leadership and Organizational skills
The duties are:
- Must be willing to assist with the planning of at least one Sea Cavalcade Event
- Willing/able to speak publicly, e.g. introductions or any other possibility that may present itself
- Assist with advertising/promotions, etc.
- Encourage participation of fellow youth in helping with Sea Cavalcade preparations and community events
- Will represent the Sea Cavalcade at all events during the weekend
The chosen Sea Cavalcade Royals will be selected by 3 judges. They will select a First Place and Second Place to be awarded at the Friday opening ceremonies.
